Question by JM #1: What do you think of this article where Dale Jr suggests a change with the Chase format?
Oh great more of his whining. Even though it’s fake, I wouldn’t put it past him:

Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn’t a happy camper. With good equipment week in and out, a new team, sponsorship dollars, and a spot in the Chase, you’d think that he has everything a guy could ever want. But Earnhardt Jr. wants more. He covets the Sprint Cup championship that his Hendrick Motorsports teammates, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have won, multiple times. While sitting 8th in the Chase, 190 points out of 1st, he isn’t out of contention but the odds are long against him. But hanging out there rubbing salt in the wound is the fact that Earnhardt Jr. proposed a new points system to determine the Sprint Cup Championship before this season, only to be rebuffed by the powers that be at NASCAR.

“The current point system is flawed and my client came to the table with a proposal that would crown a champion in a fair way,” said Earnhardt Jr. attorney Harvey Beetlenuts. “Any number of things can happen during a race that are beyond control of the driver, an engine failure, blown tire, driving too close to Michael Waltrip. Does that mean you are a bad driver? Certainly not.”

The proposal, submitted to NASCAR President Mike Helton on behalf of Earnhardt Jr. through Beetlenuts because of safety concerns, states that the points championship should be determined by a fan vote.

“By giving the people a say in the championship, NASCAR is returning the power to the fans,” explained Beetlenuts. “There is no question that Greg Biffle is a fine race car driver but seriously, is that the kind of guy NASCAR wants out there as their champion? I think not. Think about this, can you imagine Matt Kenseth or Clint Bowyer on the late night talk shows? What a snooze fest. Now Dale Jr. on the same talk shows with his rugged good looks and winning personality, that’s a ratings bonanza!”

NASCAR officials, who declined to appear on record in order to speak freely, said the proposal was dead on arrival with Helton but the idea does hold some merit. The ratings boost that NASCAR would experience with an Earnhardt Jr. Sprint Cup Championship would be significant and stock analysts forecast a stock spike for Wrangler Jeans and Amp Energy Drink when the plan was leaked.

Fan reaction to the proposed change ranged from NASCAR is already rigged to help Earnhardt Jr. to Woooooo hoooo go Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiioooooooooooooooor!

champion power equipment and Why DAVID CAMERON Made Such an INCREDIBLY STUPID SPEECH IN Turkey?

Question by Farzaneh: Why DAVID CAMERON Made Such an INCREDIBLY STUPID SPEECH IN Turkey?
Britain’s Prime Minister, David Cameron, made an incredibly stupid speech in Turkey that displayed his ignorance of international affairs.

Calling Kurdish Freedom Fighters and People of Kurdistan a ‘Terrorist’ and his comments comparing “Pro-Kurdish Democratic Party (BDP)” with “Al Qaeda” as being totally the same for the restraints and conditions there!

Ergenokon and All other Turkish terror groups that prosper and operate in the Kurdish area were airbrushed out of his speech. For Cameron, they do not exist. They are, for him, no part of the problem.

Cameron failed to address the obsessive hatred of KURDS that is rampant in the Turkey and has spread, via a biased propaganda campaign, to public opinion that is rooted in his own country of Britain.

Cameron stated that Turkey is a friend of Israel. Not any more it isn’t. Israel trusted Turkey. Israel developed an intimate relationship with that country. It conducted close military exercises with Turkey. Israel supplied Turkey with a lot of advanced military equipment and intelligence information. Then Turkey turned around and bit Israel.

Turkey has shown it’s true extremist face in recent months. It has hardened its line on Cypriot occupied land. It has refused to accept its responsibility for the murder of one million Armenians. It is currently occupying Kurdish territory and killing Kurds. They has done that in 1935 (Massacre of Dersim) with 35 ’000 casualties and in 1984-1997 with more than 42 ’000 dead Kurdish Women and Children.

Yet Cameron promised to speed up Turkey’s admission into the EU. Is this what Europe really wants? Not according to the views of countries like France, Germany, and Italy who reject Turkey’s entry into Europe under suspicion of the true nature of that country. They are right to be concerned.

Turkey promised Europe that it would maintain a Democratic government. Apparently It lied.
How could Cameron possibly claim that ‘Turkey can become a great European power’?
What sort of power does Cameron want Turkey to play in Europe?

David Cameron needs to go back to first grade in international affairs, but not at the British Foreign Office which is brimming with anti-Semitic Arabists, and get himself an education.

Then, maybe, he will be able to give a fair and balanced speech that puts things in proportion, that speaks up for an ally in the region. It would also enable him to criticise his Turkish host, in diplomatic language of course, for the dangerous foreign policies, based on his extremist religious belief, that is preventing his country from being accepted as a European nation.

Britain’s Prime Minister showed his lack of knowledge, lack of diplomacy. Whoever wrote his speech should be sacked, but Cameron himself could have, should have, regulated his words in a sensitive region where important leaders words resonate.

His speech has encouraged the dangerous players in the region to dig in their heels. They interpret his words as encouraging them in their anti-Israel agenda. Turkey can continue its provocative and violent foreign policy against Kurds as it has a champion of Britain’s Prime Minister.

Yes, Cameron made an incredibly stupid and dangerous speech in Turkey!

Question by Random: would this winch work for my jeep wrangler?

http://www.amazon.com/Champion-Power-Equipment-14501-4500-lb/dp/B002CPXYZY/ref=sr_1_543?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1289690376&sr=1-543

its a 4500lb winch so i could probably use it, but i think its meant for a atv

http://www.amazon.com/VORTEX-Pound-Recovery-Package-TRAILER/dp/B001TQPP18/ref=sr_1_565?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1289690460&sr=1-565

that one says its used for cars, but its only 500lbs more then the other one, is there a difference as far as either one working or not working for mine, its a 95 jeep wrangler se, 31 inch tires, nothing really else that would add weight, 3 inch body lift, idk if that does anything in this situation

Answer by robert
At only 4500 to 5000 lbs of line pull, I would not use on a JEEP Wrangler. You need at least a 8000 lb. winch to be on the safe side. Remember that the 4500 lb. rating is on the first wrap of cable on the drum. As the cable is wound back on the drum the amount of line pull deceases, so that by the time the drum is full, you have lost about half your rated pulling power. Check with a local off-road parts warehouse for the proper winch for your Jeep.
